Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Gut mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
These Terms represent a legally binding agreement between you and Gut
1. Description of the Service
1.1 What Gut Is
Gut is a mobile application that allows users to:
Log events and situations related to their relationship(s)
Receive AI-generated analysis and insights
Track patterns and trends over time
View a relationship score based on logged entries
1.2 What Gut Is Not
Gut is not:
A replacement for mental health services
A substitute for counseling or therapy
A source of medical or legal advice
A crisis intervention service
A professional relationship counseling tool
If you are experiencing abuse, emotional distress, or are in immediate danger, you should seek professional help or contact local emergency services.
2. Disclaimers
2.1 No Professional Advice
The App provides AI-generated insights for informational and entertainment purposes only. The content:
Does not constitute professional advice of any kind
Should not be relied upon for major life decisions
Is not a diagnosis
Does not create a professional-client relationship
2.2 Artificial Intelligence Limitations
You acknowledge that:
AI analysis is automated and may contain inaccuracies
Context, sarcasm, and emotional nuance may be misinterpreted
Scores and insights are approximations, not facts
AI cannot fully understand human relationships
AI output should not be the sole basis for decisions
2.3 No Guarantee
We do not guarantee that:
AI insights will be accurate or complete
Relationship scores reflect actual relationship health
The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
2.4 User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
Decisions made based on App content
Seeking professional assistance when appropriate
Verifying information independently
Your personal safety and wellbeing
3. Eligibility
3.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
3.2 Legal Capacity
By using the App, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

4.2 One Account Policy
Each user may maintain only one account. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.
5. Subscriptions and Payments

Gut offers:
A free tier with limited features
A premium subscription with full feature access
5.2 Billing Terms
If you purchase a subscription:
Payments are processed by Apple via the App Store
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
No partial refunds are provided unless required by law
5.3 Pricing Changes
Subscription prices may change with prior notice. Changes apply only to future billing periods.
6. User Content
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you submit (“User Content”).
6.2 License Grant
By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to:
Store and process your content
Analyze content using AI services
Display content back to you
Generate anonymized, aggregated insights
6.3 Prohibited Content
You may not submit content that is:
Illegal or promotes illegal activity
Threatening, abusive, or harassing
Malicious or deceptive
Infringing on third-party rights
6.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
Use the App unlawfully
Access systems without authorization
Reverse engineer or decompile the App
Harass or stalk others
Share accounts

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, termination, or legal action.

All App content, excluding User Content, is owned by Gut and protected by law.
8.2 Trademarks
“Gut” and related branding may not be used without permission.
8.3 Feedback
Feedback may be used without compensation or obligation.
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
10.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including emotional distress or relationship outcomes.
10.3 Liability Cap
Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount paid by you in the previous 12 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from claims arising out of your use of the App, content, or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
By You
You may stop using the App at any time.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate access for violations, inactivity, or at our discretion.
General Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement
Invalid provisions do not affect remaining sections
Rights may not be assigned by users

14. Relationship Tracking Disclaimer
You acknowledge that:

Scores and insights are simplified representations
The App does not tell you what decisions to make
Use of the App is at your own risk
15. Apple-Specific Terms
These Terms are between you and Gut, not Apple
Apple is not responsible for maintenance or support
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
